The fiesta of the Grassroots Mikel Children’s Championships took place with great success today at the Futsal fields of the Old GSZ in Larnaca.

Hundreds of children played football and various other games organized by KOP and Grassroots sponsors, Mikel Coffee Company and Lanitis Company, Official Nutrition Sponsor of the Children’s Championships.

In the presence of KOP President Giorgos Koumas and Vice-Presidents Evangelos Mouskos and Theodoros Theodoulou, the trophy of the final phase of the EURO U-17 as well as the Mascot created on the occasion of the organization of the EURO in Cyprus were presented at the fiesta.

On behalf of KOP, also present at the event were the Financial Director Andreas Morias, the Director of the Grassroots Championships Haris Kyrillou, the Head of the KOP Press Office Kyriakos Giorgallis, the Marketing Manager Katerina Gonda, the Press Representative Konstantinos Siamboulis as well as the Officer of the Children’s Championships Panagiotis Kountouriotis (not visible in the photo due to other duties).

The final phase of EURO U17 starts on Monday 20 May. The opening ceremony will take place at 20:00 at AEK Arena and will be followed by the Cyprus – Czech Republic match for the first matchday of the 1st group.
